RSS Team at the Abraham Foundation UK launch.

Reform Club, Pall Mall, London.

Radio Salaam Shalom presenters Naomi Levav (’Crossing Cultures’) and Shagufta Iqbal (’The Shabs and G Show’) joined Station Manager Kyle Hannan at the world-famous Reform Club in London for the launch of the UK Friends of the Abraham Fund Initiatives.

After an inspiring series of speeches from the guest speakers, it was time to network! Over canapes and conversation with intercultural musical collective Psychosemitic, as well as local representatives of the Neve Shalom/Wahaat As Salaam ‘Oasis of Peace’ village in Israel, the seeds of some exciting international cooperative projects were planted.

Coming soon: news of a plan for Radio Salaam Shalom to establish a physical presence in Israel as well as in the West Bank itself.

Presenters on Summer Break

June 2, 2008 by radiosalaamshalom

Our hard-working volunteers deserve more than salaries. They deserve a holiday too! That’s why our presenters are taking a few weeks off this summer (just like we did last December for the Christmas break). But don’t worry - there’s still plenty of great Salaam Shalom music to listen to while they’re relaxing. Until they’re back, rested and suntanned, Radio Salaam Shalom will be broadcasting a mix of recorded shows from our archives alongside our unique musical blend of Muslim, Jewish and intercultural vibes.

We can still be reached on our usual email and telephone numbers too, though the studio chair will be empty.. a little something like this:

an empty studio

While we are taking a break, please subscribe to our new ‘podcasts’ in the iTunes Store for FREE - links and details of our podcasts and videos can be found on our Media page (click the Media link in the above menu..)

Also - catch up and watch video archives of our shows and see the BBC Television features on this unique online radio station, ONLY at our online TV channel at: www.justin.tv/radiosalaamshalombristol

Thanks for tuning in to Radio Salaam Shalom !

SEE YOU AFTER OUR SUMMER BREAK.
