OVERWHELMINGLY POSITIVE LISTENER RESPONSE TO BBC RADIO FEATURE
Monday 27 August 2007 11:00-11:30 (BBC Radio 4 FM)
Gerry Northam reports from Radio Salaam Shalom, a Muslim-Jewish online radio station launched in Bristol, in February 2007. He explores the reasons behind the project and asks whether the volunteer presenters are changing their perceptions of each other’s faith and culture.

Listener response to this documentary was tremendous, emails to the station included the following comments:
What a wonderful idea. I am a Christian by birth, but I always say I am ‘a Believer.’ because until everyone stops fighting over the same God we will get nowhere at all. - Hilary
When I see you sitting down together at the table of peace, I see the closeness of our hearts, may we stand shoulder to shoulder and heart to heart together in life! - Brother’ in Gloucester
Just wanted to let you know how uplifting it was to hear all about your radio station. I was touched by everyone’s candour and the fact that much of what was said focused on who people are and relationships that had been formed on and off air - Claire
