Radio Salaam Shalom on global satellite television again!

11 JULY 2008: RADIO SALAAM SHALOM FEATURE PREMIERES ON NHK JAPANESE GLOBAL SATELLITE TV.

NHK, Japan’s national broadcaster and the equivalent of the BBC here in the UK, recently shared the inspirational story of Radio Salaam Shalom with its global Japanese-language audience of over 10 million viewers.

The satellite network’s ‘Inspirational European Life’ programme features a 20-minute documentary about our pioneering internet broadcast service and is broadcast in Japanese.

The broadcast schedule opened with a premiere on the High Definition channel, followed by further screenings on NHK’s BS1 service. Their Japanese-language website contains programme details.

Radio Salaam Shalom would like to thank the hard-working team from NHK who spent a week’s filming in Bristol and are especially grateful for the dedication and interest shown by their producer Yasuko Kobayashi, now returning to Tokyo.
