Radio Salaam Shalom presenter Naomi Levav Yoran was recently joined by friends and colleagues for a surprise ‘Bon Voyage’ party at the Bristol waterfront.

Her ‘Crossing Cultures Show’ co-host, Kalsoom Bashir, was there as was Saturday presenter Saleha. Other radio friends included ‘Abraham Nexus’ co-presenter Javed Latif, ‘Flying Carpet’ children’s show host Dana, Deputy Station Manager Farhan Cheema, ‘Pulse’ anchor Brendi Waks and Station Manager Kyle Hannan.

A tasty range of home-made treats was brought along by Naomi’s family’s wellwishers who packed out a small cafe on the Bristol canalside.

Station Manager Kyle Hannan said “The whole team’s had a great time working and socialising with Naomi over the last year and a half. We’ll all feel her absence as she returns to Israel with her family. It does make us feel quite proud that she’s going to be taking a little bit of what we’re doing here in Bristol and exporting it to the Middle East at this exciting time in Muslim and Jewish relations there.”
